Laser blanking and detection

2023-03-13

Laser blanking refers to the blanking method that uses the laser output from the laser oscillator to focus through the focusing lens at the speed of light, and generates high density energy to irradiate metal or nonmetal and other materials to make them evaporate. It can be used for high-precision blanking with small gaps. At present, there are two main types of laser cutting machines used in the automobile stamping workshop, one is carbon dioxide laser cutting machine, and the other is optical fiber laser cutting machine. Compared with the traditional mechanical blanking method, laser blanking does not need to change the blanking die in a race against the clock when the blanking requirements are adjusted. It only needs engineers to modify the laser numerical control program, which is very convenient and fast. Moreover, laser blanking can easily cut various suitable contours, making the stamping process as easy as possible.

Laser detection is a non-contact measurement that does not affect the movement of the measured object. It has the advantages of high accuracy, large measurement range, short detection time, and high spatial resolution. The applications we are familiar with include laser interferometry, laser ranging, laser vibration measurement, excitation collimation, laser displacement measurement, laser speckle measurement, etc. In the automobile stamping workshop, the principle of laser ranging and laser displacement measurement are generally used when using laser detection technology. Laser detection technology realizes automatic judgment and recognition of the size, shape, color and other characteristics of the workpiece. Compared with the measurement and judgment made by human eyes, laser detection has the advantages of high automation, high efficiency, high accuracy, strong stability, adaptability to dangerous environment, wide range of light sensitivity, and is a necessary means to achieve industrial automation and intelligence.
